The final episode of Ozark streamed on April 29, 200 and as fans we are both sad and relieved. The intense show about the Byrdes life in the Missouri Ozarks kept us on the edge of our seats for four seasons. Here a few things you may not have known about Ozark and the Lake of the Ozarks.
Marty Byrde is based on a real person who lives in Osage Beach. In the show, Marty is a financial advisor who gets involved in money laundering for a Mexican drug cartel. The real Marty Byrde is also a financial advisor, but he has never been involved in any illegal activity. He has said that the show is a work of fiction and that he was not consulted during its development. However, he does think that the show gives a realistic portrayal of financial crimes.
